The Ashanti King comes out to sit in state to receive homage from his subjects. Praise singers and drummers perform to welcome the king to the courtyard.
Akwantukese Festival - New Juaben– It is a period of consecration of black stools, invocation of the blessing of ancestral spirits and show of appreciation to the gods for their guidance. A colourful durbar of chiefs is marked to climax the celebrations.

The mortal remains of a Jamaican, Crystal from Jamaica, West Indies, who dedicated her life to fighting racism and Samuel Carson, an African American naval officer from the U.S.A. were both buried at Assin Manso in August 1998 as a prelude to Ghana’s first Emancipation Day celebration.
Visit Cape Coast Castle Dungeons where enslaved Africans were kept before being transported to the Americas and the Caribbean. Thru the Door of Return Ceremony. Candle light vigil in the Cape Coast Castle Dungeons. Return to One Africa to complete ceremony with cleansing Spiritual bath in the Gulf of Guinea.
